Our Fellowship Program invites international researchers to Bremen to deepen and connect their research in the transformation of media, communication, and information. We are looking for established scholars who want to enjoy the thriving interdisciplinary research environment at ZeMKI. Disciplines include media and communication studies, computer science, film studies, educational science, studies in religion, and history. Since mid-2017, ZeMKI has regularly hosted colleagues from all over the world.

IAMCR 2026 will be hosted by the University of Galway in Ireland, from 28 June to 2 July 2026. At the closing plenary in Singapore, Andrew Ó Baoill, Chair of the Galway Local Organising Committee, introduced the conference theme Peripheries and Connections: Media, Communication, and Transformation, and invited participants to critically explore how marginality and global interconnection shape media and communication systems, and to reflect on the ways media navigate and challenge boundaries, geographical and conceptual, in a rapidly transforming world.
